Fagervik church – Historic Gem
Fagervik Church, a privately owned structure dating back to around 1740–1770, shares its origins with Suomenlinna.
The world outside appears distorted through the church’s aged window panes, giving a “melting glass” effect. Over time, structures lean and objects lose their perfect alignment, much like the natural signs of aging in people.
Fagervik Church embraces this graceful aging, standing as a testament to history and resilience.

Suomenlinna: Bi-cone steel buoy
A striking modern-looking logo on a large bi-cone steel buoy appears to depict a centurion’s helmet alongside an anchor. The logo echoes the design of Augustin Ehrensvärd’s tomb in the Great Courtyard at Suomenlinna, which features a helmet motif, symbolizing the fortress’s founder and its military history.
